National PKU News has been a reliable source of news and information about PKU
from its beginning in 1989. With subscribers in the US, Canada, and more than
20 countries, it is the only newsletter with a PKU professional as editor:
nutritionist Virginia Schuett, who worked for 17 years in a PKU treatment
center before starting National PKU News.
The 16-page newsletter is published three times yearly: a spring/summer issue
in May, a fall issue in September, and a winter issue in January.
The newsletter is crammed with useful information: new research, special features on a wide range of topics, new product information, nutrition information and recipes, "kids of the month" (stories and recipes), a section for teen and young adult stories and so much more. Subscription Rates for One Year

- $22 US for Canadians;
- $28 US for other foreign residents.
The rates have been unchanged for more than 10 years despite rising costs.
